Starting from the top.
Battle made his way to Kuwait a few days back. I can tell he's worried when he tells me he loves me. Kuwait is like the staging grounds of the U.S. force streaming into Iraq. They receive more specialized training from private military contractors there and then advance to their positions inside Iraq.
For Battle, his station will be Mosul. The task his unit is assigned to is primarily escorting convoys on the route from Mosul to Baghdad.
I haven't checked up on the atmosphere over there in the last week or so.
Let's see how things have improved.
